Little Mix have moved people to tears with a track from their debut album.

The band's Jade Thirlwall said weepy new ballad 'Always Be Together' struck a chord with her mother when she played it to her for the first time.

She said: "My mum got upset listening to it because she said it could be played at funerals."

Her bandmate Perrie Edwards, 19, added to the Daily Star newspaper: "It's a ballad about love, friendship, losing someone, anyone can relate to it."

However, the group's debut, 'DNA', isn't all tearjerkers, and the band - which also includes Jesy Nelson, 21, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 21 - say the album "reflects how versatile" they are.

Speaking of recent single, title track 'DNA', Leigh-Anne said: "This song is more about playing a character. We got a bit carried away in the video. We didn't hold back, we took it to the extreme."

The band have even recorded a song for their "older audience" in 'How Ya Doin?'

Jade, 19, said: "There's a bit of 80s band Curiosity Killed The Cat in there. We wanted to do something old school for the older audience, our parents can recognise it."
