Russell Brand has told Jonah Hill he will marry him.

The comic star hasn't had a serious relationship since his divorce from Katy Perry was finalised in July and it seems he's open to settling down with his friend.

Jonah took to his Twitter page to tell his followers he is ready to commit and be a good husband to someone.

He tweeted: "OK so I've decided I'm going to get married soon, I'm just not sure to who yet."

To which Russell jokingly replied: "I'm free."

The pair starred together in comedy movie 'Get Him to the Greek' and became great friends on set.

Russell and Jonah shared a kiss on screen in the movie and even locked lips at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards when a 'Kiss Cam' panned onto the comedians as they sat watching the ceremony.

Jonah - who shot to fame in 'Knocked Up' and 'Superbad' - admitted afterwards he and the British lothario decided to kiss as a spontaneous joke.

The 'Moneyball' star said at the time: "I thought it was great (the kiss) ... it was graphic and hormone-filled and just real. I went to Russell, 'They're about to turn the camera on us - what should we do?' And then he was like, 'Let's just do it.' So we went for it."

At the same ceremony Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson shared a girl-on-girl kiss on stage.

Jonah, 28, split from his last girlfriend Ali Hoffman - the daughter of screen legend Dustin Hoffman - in September after nine months of dating

Russell, 37, has dated a few women since his relationship with Katy ended and he recently enjoyed a brief fling with Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
