The 'We Can't Stop' singer is said to be devastated after calling off her rocky engagement with the actor last week.

Miley, 20, has reportedly been putting on a brave face after Liam was pictured kissing the Mexican actress just a day after they confirmed the end of their four year relationship, but in private she is very upset.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Miley is extremely angry. She's saying she doesn't care about Liam, that she's better off without him, all that kind of stuff. But the truth is she's pretty devastated."

The reports come in the wake of Miley's tearful rendition of her new single 'Wrecking Ball' at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The source continued: "She totally believed that no matter what happened, she and Liam would work it all out. She thought he was her soul mate. Him just walking away like this and not fighting for her, is heartbreaking."

Meanwhile, Miley is still holding onto the 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring Liam proposed with in May 2012, worth a reported $100,000 from Neil Lane jewellers.

An insider told E! News: "The ring has not been returned to the jeweller, Neil Lane. Generally, the protocol is for the bride to keep the ring. It's up to her whether or not she wants to return it or keep it as a memento.

"My guess is, she'll hold onto it as a keepsake."
