Alexandra Burke is training to be a "life coach".

The 25-year-old singer - who shot to fame after winning 'The X Factor' in 2008 - insists she's learned to step outside of her comfort zone with the help of spirituality and is keen to encourage other people do the same.

Speaking on UK TV show 'Lorraine' on Tuesday morning, she said: "I'm in a different space in my life at the moment, I'm actually currently training to be a life coach ... I wanted some more balance in my life and it's definitely brought a different kind of perspective.

"I'm definitely way more balanced than I ever was and I've been able to come out of my comfort zone, come out of my shell a little bit more.

'I'm enjoying life at the moment, I'm really in a happy place, a really spiritual, happy place."

Despite being keen to focus on herself, the brunette beauty previously admitted she doesn't have time to settle down and find a boyfriend just yet due to her music career.

She said last year: "At the moment my focus is on my music. Even my dad's saying to me, 'When are you going to have a boyfriend? I'm like, 'Dad, my boyfriend right now is my music.' I'm happy with it this way. It's less complicated."
