Lindsay Lohan has hit back at reports she was openly drinking and confessed to dating a married man at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The 'Mean Girls' star claims quotes attributed to her in the new spring issue of KODE Magazine, including comments about her dating a married man with kids, were "fabricated."

A spokesperson for the 27-year-old actress told E! News: "Lindsay never spoke to any journalist at KODE. The interview was completed via email. We have no comprehension on why a journalist would fabricate this content and distribute it in such an irresponsible way."

The magazine claimed that the actress - who recently admitted she had a miscarriage - confessed to having a secret affair while allegedly under the influence of vodka and Ecstasy at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California on April 11.

The publication said it chronicled the 'Mean Girl' star's trip to the first weekend of the annual festival in Indio, California and the reporter, identified only as The Kurator, claimed that the troubled starlet, who previously admitted she had slipped up and had "a glass of wine" since leaving rehab for the sixth time last summer, was openly drinking and using drugs throughout the weekend.

He wrote: "The last time I saw Lindsay would be as she made her way into the second day of the Coachella festival with a vodka filled Evian bottle in hand and accompanied by her sister Ali, and brothers Cody and Michael."

And the magazine's editor in chief Allan Troy Watson insists: "I have sworn testimonies that it took place that back up everything."

ex ecutive editor Jacob Simon added: "Yes, the interview took place and everything stated in the article is fact and came directly from Lohan herself. And we have photos chronicling the writer and Lindsay's numerous times together."
