LeAnn Rimes wants to have children as soon as possible

The country singer is trying to convince her husband Eddie Cibrian to start a family because she's worried she might have the same trouble conceiving that her own mother had.

Speaking in the newly-released trailer for the couple's reality show 'LeAnn & Eddie', she confessed: "Eddie and I have talked about having kids and waiting for the right time. I'm 31 and my mom had fertility issues. I know Eddie isn't quite ready but this could be my only opportunity to have a child."

The lovebirds met in controversial circumstances since Eddie was married to reality star Brandi Glanville at the time, and the show is set to tackle people's qualms about their romance.

The trailer begins by LeAnn stating: "Our relationship didn't quite start off like we had planned."

Eddie chimes in: "We were both married to other people. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened...now who we really are is a couple and in love."

Brandi and LeAnn have been locked in a bitter feud for years, with the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star memorably accusing LeAnn of being "unstable" and an incompetent stepmother to her sons Jake, seven, and Mason, 11.

In spite of rumours of a truce, it seems Brandi is definitely still a sore subject in the Cibrian household since an upcoming scene from the drama-filled show sees LeAnn slapping Eddie when she discovers he has been texting his ex-wife.

LeAnn - who was once dubbed 'Angelfish' by Brandi because "she sings like an angel and drinks like a fish" - also gets her own back on her nemesis by discussing whether the reality star should go to rehab for her drinking in one of the new series' episodes.

    'LeAnn & Eddie' premiers July 17 on VH1 at 10:30 p.m.
