Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed allegedly spent nearly $1,000 in a sex shop on Sunday.

The new couple, who have been dating for the past few months, reportedly forked out $860 on a number of erotic toys - including handcuffs and restraints - from the Seduction Love Boutique in Toronto, Canada.

An off-duty employee told TMZ.com that they saw the 'Vampire Diaries'

hunk in the shop and told him: "You look like Zac Efron."

Ian, 35, laughed off the comment and reportedly replied: "Nope, wrong guy."

Meanwhile, the loved-up pair's relationship has been blossoming fast as they recently began house-sharing in Atlanta, Georgia, so that they can spend as much time together as possible while Ian is busy filming the next season of supernatural drama TV series.

It is also believed the duo - who first sparked rumours they were dating after they were spotted at a farmer's market in July - share a property in Los Angeles, California, as well.

The pair have been friends for a long time and even used to go on double dates when they were with their previous partners.

However, there doesn't appear to be any hard feelings between Ian's ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev, whom he split from in May 2013 after three years of dating, and Nikki, 26, as they still remain very good friends.
