Shia LaBeouf has obtained a restraining order against a stalker who thought he was Albert Einstein.

The 'Transformers' actor went to court to receive an injunction against Graciela Nahle, claiming he fears for his safety after she showed up three times to his property and she must now stay 100 yards away from him at all times.

On one occasion, she was eating watermelon on the driveway and when Shia asked her to leave, she screamed: "I am going to blow up your house! I am going to blow up the world! You are Albert Einstein and we belong together."

Documents obtained by gossip website TMZ also showed Nahle once arrived at the 28-year-old actor's house carrying a young child and claiming she and the 'Nymphomaniac' star were best friends in a previous life.

The 31-year-old woman has previously been arrested for making criminal threats against the actor after he called police when she turned up to his house uninvited.

The legal ruling comes just a week after Shia was ordered to complete a three-month substance abuse treatment programme after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

It is likely that the violation will be expunged from his permanent record if he completes the treatment and stays out of trouble for the next six months.

Following the New York court case, the actor's attorney, Robert Gage said: "We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the resolution of the matter by the district attorney's office."

He was originally arrested on June 26, after he disrupted a Broadway performance of 'Cabaret' which starred Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams.

At the time, it was reported that Shia had caused a scene during the first act and was later accused of spitting at the police who came to escort him off the property.

The case has now been adjourned to November 12 in accordance with Shia's compliance.
