Angelina Jolie has given Brad Pitt a rare £2 million watch as a wedding present.

The 'Maleficent' actress has splashed out on the expensive gift - a 1952 Patek Philippe platinum chronometer - which has been inscribed with the words "To Roly from Nessa", a reference to the characters the couple play in 'By The Sea'.

The two stars - who tied the knot last month - are currently filming the new movie in Malta and George Farrugia, 57, who runs Dolindo Jewellers on the neighbouring island of Gozo has opened up about the "rare" and "valuable" present.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one.

"Oh yes, it was very valuable. I wasn't nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly."

Meanwhile, Brad has admitted he is "slowing down" his film career so he can spend more time with his wife and their children - Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with Angelina - "before they're grown up".

He recently said: "I've been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things.

"And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they're grown up and gone."
