Nicole Scherzinger is "obsessed" with 'Candy Crush'.

The 36-year-old singer has confessed she cannot get enough of the puzzle mobile phone game 'Candy Crush Saga' and its newly-released sequel 'Candy Crush Soda Saga' - in which players move colour candies around a board - and finds it the ideal app to pass the time in between her music video shoots.

Speaking at the launch of 'Candy Crush Soda Saga' on a boat on London's River Thames on Thursday night, she said: "I'm so happy to be here. I'm a fan of this game, I'm kind of obsessed with it. I'm loving it."

Nicole celebrated the release of the second 'Candy Crush' game by turning the Thames into a sea of purple soda when she pressed down on a colour bomb while standing on a boat which illuminated replicas of candies from the popular game on another vessel positioned underneath Tower Bridge.

The former Pussycat Doll's actions sparked a spectacular soda fountain display, and the brunette beauty admitted it was the perfect way to commemorate her first ever time on the capital's iconic waters.

She added: "I've never been on the River Thames so this is awesome. I never thought my first time on the River Thames I'd be pressing a colour bomb which would explode pink soda everywhere and open Tower Bridge.

"So I'm really excited. It's really magical and fricking amazing."

Nicole will no doubt spend hours playing the game if she flies to Abu Dhabi this weekend to cheer on her boyfriend, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, who will clinch the sport's world championships if he manages a first or second place finish in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix race on Sunday.

'Candy Crush Soda Saga' is available to download for free now from Apple's App store, Google Play and can also be played on Facebook.
