Seth Rogen has splashed out almost $8 million on a new home in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old star, who is married to actress and charity worker Lauren Miller, bought a 10-acre ranch in the Hollywood Hills West in an off-market deal.

The property includes a three-bedroom, three-bathroom main house with an updated kitchen, a guesthouse, sports court, swimming pool, a natural waterfall and two streams.

There are also mature trees and trails surrounding the wood-shingle-clad main house, which built in 1955, according to the LA Times newspaper.

The ranch property was previously leased out for $10,500 a month last year and also includes a living room with a flagstone fireplace, flagstone floors, a den and nearly 3,500 square feet of living space.

News that the 'Super Bad' actor is set to move into a new home comes shortly after Seth was named the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.

The Canadian star earned $58 million between November 2013 and November 2014, according to People With Money.

But it hasn't been an easy week for the actor, as he and close pal James Franco have been forced to delay the release of their new movie, 'The Interview,' after hackers made threats against US cinemas that screen the film, which is about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

In a statement, Sony said: "In light of the decision by the majority 'The Interview,' we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release.

"We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie, and in the process do damage to our company, our employees, and the American public."
