Lindsay Lohan reportedly received 18 hours of community service credit for meeting fans.

The 'Mean Girls' star, whose volunteer work is being investigated after her lawyer, Shawn Holley, submitted a progress report claiming the actress completed 80 hours of work in nine days despite being hospitalised for being ill, reportedly hosted five, three-hour meet-and-greets following her performances in 'Speed-the-Plow' in London as part of her court-ordered labour.

The Community Service Volunteers centre claims the 28-year-old beauty helped motivate other young people from the Theatre of Volunteers as a "reward" and provided them with a total of 70 hours of "work shadowing experience."

According to court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, the organisation praised the actress for also providing tickets to her play and offering opportunities to meet her to "talk about their volunteering, and what they are gaining from it."

Her supervisor added: "In order to continue to motivate volunteers it is important to be able to offer rewards that are not monetary. This kind of event is an ideal and unique opportunity for this and means a lot to the people involved."

Judge Richard Stone has given Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White permission to review the star's volunteer work after he raised concerns about whether she really completed the 240 hours she was required to do as part of her probation following a reckless driving offense in 2012.

Lindsay's lawyer insists all the hours were completed and were up to standards.

Another hearing will take place on February 18, 2015.
