Cara Delevingne hasn't let her fame stop her from going out in public

Although she is one of the world's most successful and photographed models, Cara doesn't let possible attention stop her from indulging in her favourite pastime, which is to go out walking and exploring, especially in New York City.

While she does get recognised and stopped, the 22-year-old beauty says most people mistake her for an old acquaintance of theirs rather than a catwalk star.

In an interview with TV show 'Lorraine', she said: "I like to walk around a lot. It really upsets me when I can't walk because I love walking so when I can't, because of too many people or whatever, it really upsets me. When I was just a New Yorker I'd go and walk through Times Square and just walk around, it's really funny. People always just look (at me) and double take ... They always looks at me and go, 'Do I know you from school.' People always say, 'You look like that girl.' It's great, I love it!"

Cara's global fame is set to get even greater now she has launched an acting career, with starring roles coming up in Michael Winterbottom's psychological thriller 'The Face of An Angel' - which is out later this month - DC Comics blockbuster 'Suicide Squad' and 'London Fields'.

The catwalk star insists it's something she's willing to accept because her dream has always been to be an actress.

She revealed: "Modelling I love but acting is my passion. I think modelling kind of chose me, it's never what I expected, I always wanted to be an actress and I think I use acting so much in modelling. You ask anyone I do a shoot with, I'm always running around doing accents, dancing, singing, it's never just a normal shoot!"
