Ludacris was "promised" jokes about Paul Walker would be removed from Justin Bieber's Comedy Central roast.

The 'Good Lovin' hitmaker, who was reportedly "deeply upset" when comedian Jeff Ross referred to his 'Fast and the Furious' late co-star's car crash in November 2013 while poking fun at the 21-year-old singer, admits he spoke to producers about editing some the controversial jabs from the pre-recorded show before it airs on March 30 because they "were over the line."

He told E! News: "It's not one particular person, there were just certain jokes that were - and I'm not saying anything towards me - I'm just saying there were some jokes that weren't appropriate. You know, there were some Paul Walker jokes that I didn't feel like were appropriate. And I was told and promised that they would edit those out...Some of those were over the line."

Sources previously revealed the 37-year-old rapper - whose real name is Christopher Brian Bridges - was outraged when Jeff said: "Move b***h, get out of the way, is what Paul Walker should've told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?"

Fellow comedian Pete Davidson also quipped: "Just this past year, Justin got arrested for drag racing. Unfortunately, it wasn't with Paul Walker. What? He's doing great! He's got a movie coming out!" A spokesperson for Comedy Central previously insisted the jokes would be cut from the upcoming show, saying: "Roasts often push the limits of good taste ... sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast."
