Hilary Duff "really nervous" about going on her first Tinder date

The 'All About You' hitmaker, who recently filed for divorce from former ice hockey player Mike Comrie following their split early last year, joined the dating app to find a normal boyfriend and is "talking to probably about nine guys right now."

Asked about rumours she is a fan of the social media platform, the 26-year-old star said: "It's true. I'm on Tinder."

The blonde beauty, who previously dated Aaron Carter and Joel Madden, is set to go bowling with a mystery man despite only joining the app a few "days" ago.

She told 'Valentine in the Morning' on 104.3 MYFM radio in Los Angeles: "I was sitting with my friends one night at the house and we were joking around. In my life, I have always had really serious boyfriends. I've always met people through work and I have never been on a blind date. What's the worst that could happen?

"I have my first date tonight and I'm really, really nervous.

"We're going bowling, so it can't be too expensive. I like that. I've never dated just a total normie."

But the 'Younger' star doesn't expect to be able to fly under the radar for very long and thinks more users will start to recognise her profile.

She said: "I think some people know. You only have your first name. Some people don't know. I think some people act like they don't know but they do. And a lot of people are like, 'This is a joke, right?' "
