Rita Ora earns more money from not singing than singing

Despite the 24-year-old singer releasing no singles or albums between March 2013 and March 2014, she raked in £1.2million profit over that period - according to accounts from her firm Ora Multi Services Ltd - thanks to endorsement deals with Calvin Klein, Madonna's Material Girl range, DKNY, Adidas Originals and Rimmel, as well as her stint as a coach on 'The Voice UK'.

Rita has argued that there are other musicians, like Lady Gaga and Pharrell, who work in the fashion business as well as the music industry.

The 'How We Do' hitmaker said: "I don't know if ad campaigns are people's priorities, but I think there are different types of artists nowadays.

"I would say there are Sam Smith and Adele and these amazing musicians that just stick to their music and it works for them. Then there are other artists like myself, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Pharrell who don't mind collaborating fashionwise and still being in charge of their music."

The 'X Factor' judge - whose new music video for 'Poison' contains product placements for Frizz Ease haircare and Samsung Level headphones - insists that being successful is about being a "360 degree artist" rather than just solely the music.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Rita said: "For me it's very important because my passion is definitely music, but I see myself as a 360 degree artist and as a visionary of that market."
