Mariah Carey swims in high heels and never celebrates her birthday

The diva - who is currently dating Australian billionaire James Packer - is rarely seen without her stilettos and admitted she doesn't even like to take them off in the water.

Speaking to Us Weekly, she quipped: 'I swim in evening gowns and heels.'

However, Mariah ran into some trouble with her heels aboard James' Arctic P yacht in Formentera, Spain on Wednesday (01.07.15), when she tripped down the stairs in a pair of massive heels.

Meanwhile, Mariah insisted she doesn't observe birthdays but, tongue firmly in cheek, said that she, "celebrates the anniversary of my birth [March 27] every day at 3:27 a.m., p.m., EST, PST, and ST!".

Other gems from Mariah's 25 Things You Don't Know About Me interview, include her "extreme aversion to overhead lighting". She explained: "In my opinion, elevator lighting is toxic!"

While Mariah - who has four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with estranged husband Nick Cannon - does not exactly have a reputation as a domestic goddess, she insisted she is quite handy around the house.

The 45-year-old singer revealed: "I can make a mean gluten-free lasagne and an even meaner pecan pie."

And even more surprisingly, she added: "I'm a very good laundress, when I have to be."
