Jessie J wants to have a baby

The 'Bang Bang' hitmaker, who recently underwent "two operations" for a mystery complaint, says she is still very ambitious, but would also like to start a family in the future.

Asked what else she would like to do with her life, the 27-year-old singer, who is dating R&B star Luke James, said: "Have a baby - not today! But that's something that I hope that I'm blessed with in my life. I would love to build a school in Africa. I would love to write a book. My first-ever film that I've done is gonna be announced soon. I'm not allowed to talk about it yet, but I've done a film. There's loads of things I wanna do. A cookbook ... I want to be able to run for longer than 10 seconds. Yeah. And just keep writing great music. That's it."

The British star says Luke, 31, was extremely supportive during her recovery.

She told PEOPLE.com: "Of course he was! He's my boyfriend; of course he was, yeah. I wouldn't be with someone if he didn't support me in those times, you know?"

Despite her success, the 'Voice' mentor claims she still feels like "a contestant" in the music industry, but she relishes the opportunity to foster new talent.

She explained: "For me, the most exciting part of my career was the come-up, it was the hustle, it was the new things and experiencing everything for the first time. That's the bit I enjoyed the most. So I kind of relive that with them, and I love that."
