Cathriona White had "an amazing capacity to love and to be loved", according to step-sister Sarah

The 30-year-old make-up artist - who was the on/off girlfirend of Hollywood star Jim Carrey - was laid to rest during a funeral service in Cappawhite, Ireland (10.10.15), and during an emotional eulogy, Sarah paid a glowing tribute to her sibling.

She said: "Cathriona had such an amazing capacity to love and to be loved."

Cathriona - whose death has been treated as a suicide - has been buried alongside her father Pat and Sarah said her sister can now be "at peace".

She explained: "We can take some comfort in the knowledge that Cathriona and Pat are together again. She is at peace.

"We need to find comfort for each other. There is no easy fix for grief. Particularly when we have lost somebody so young with so much left to give.

"But to paraphrase the song 'Oh, the sharp knife of a short life, send me away with the words of a lovesong'."

Sarah also said the love she has for her sister remains undimmed.

She reflected: "Thankfully, love is not as fickle and unpredictable as life is. As long as you are loved, you are here. You are so loved."
