Reid Ewing has confirmed he's gay.

The 'Modern Family' star, 27, revealed he's homosexual during a Twitter exchange when a fan asked him if he had just "outed" himself by commenting on another guy's "hot" looks.

The handsome actor took to his social networking site to call Eugene Bata, a man who was featured in a story about body dysmorphia on 'Good Morning America', "hot as f**k", to which a follower questioned: "Did you also just out yourself?"

Claiming he's never hidden his sexuality from anyone, Reid hit back: "I was never in."

Meanwhile, Reid - who suffers with body dysmorphic disorder himself - recently revealed he's been addicted to cosmetic surgery since he was the age of 19.

Writing in an essay for Huffington Post's Healthy Living section, he explained: "I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt. I woke up screaming my head off from pain, with tears streaming down my face. The doctor kept telling me to calm down, but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything but scream, while he and his staff tried seemingly to hold back their laughter."

Reid, who went through numerous botched operations and developed an addiction to painkillers, now wishes he'd never had the surgeries at all and would undo it if he could.
