Kanye West has slammed Pink Floyd producer Bob Ezrin in his latest Twitter rant - and made yet another dig at Taylor Swift.

The 38-year-old rapper took aim at the 66-year-old producer and keyboardist, blasting him as an "idiot" and even hitting out at his children by vowing to send them a free pair of his Yeezy trainers to make up for the "embarrassment" their father has caused them.

Kanye's anger comes after Bob insisted the star is nowhere near the level of rappers Jay Z, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G. or "even MC Hammer", slammed his "egomaniacal tantrums" and "tasteless grandstanding", and compared him to a streaker at a sporting event in a post on music analyst Bob Lefsetz's blog.

In response to the article, Kanye hit back on Twitter: "Has anybody ever heard of Bob Ezrin???

"What the f**k does he know about rap...

"I'm tired of old people that have no connection with anything trying to comment on music!

"Do something relevant... Please don't speak on me bro ever again!!!

"Your kids are ashamed of their dad... Sorry for speaking about kids... but could you imagine if you were Bob Ezrin's kids...

"I'm so sorry for them... I will send them free Yeezys to make up for the embarrassment that you have caused your family!

"Bro you said Macklemore was more important musically than me... no offense to Macklemore, he's a nice human being!

"Bob please never speak in public again... you are everything that is wrong with the old guard ...

"it's guys like you that run companies and don't invest in Ye even if I'm your kid's idol!!!

"Rock and Roll was stolen... Rap was exploited... (sic)"

The rapper - who has two kids, North, two, and two-month-old Saint with wife Kim Kardashian West - also appeared to hit out at singing sensation Taylor by moaning about a lack of Best Album nominations for two of his records, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' and 'Watch the Throne'.

He tweeted: "I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn't nominated for either and you know who has 2 albums of the year.

    "Welcome to pop culture!!!

"Ezrin I truly feel sorry for your friends and family that they have had to suffer an idiot like you for so many years...

"God bless the fools ... all positive vibes! (sic)"

While he didn't mention Taylor by name, she has won Album of the Year twice at the Grammys, for her 2009 record 'Fearless' and her fifth studio album, '1989', and Kanye recently claimed he made her famous.

What's more, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' did win a Grammy for Best Rap Album, beating off competition from Kanye and Jay Z's 'Watch the Throne'.

In Bob's critique of Kanye, he wrote: "Unlike other creators in his genre like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie or even M.C. Hammer for that matter, it's unlikely that we'll be quoting too many of Kanye's songs 20 years from now.

"He didn't open up new avenues of public disclosure like NWA, or introduce the world to a new art for like Granmaster Flash, or even meaningfully and memorably address social issues through his music like Marshall, Macklemore and Kendrick.

"Instead Kanye's greatest achievements have been in the form of excessive behavior, egomaniacal tantrums and tasteless grandstanding.

"What he is a true artist at is living his life out loud - and shoving it down the throats of the rest of us whether we give a sh*t or not.

"He's like that flasher who interrupts a critical game by running naked across the field. Is that art??? (sic)"

Bob - who has worked with Alice Cooper, KISS and Lou Reed - also mocks the rapper's new album 'The Life of Pablo'.

After saying "real artists make stuff that changes the world and lasts", he adds: "I haven't heard it yet. Is that what The Life of Pablo is? If so, then I take it all back."

Mariah Carey is planning a "grand" wedding.

The 'Hero' hitmaker - who was previously married to record company boss Tommy Motola and 'America's Got Talent' host Nick Cannon - got engaged to billionaire James Packer last month and they plan to keep their nuptials "very private" and won't be hosting "tons of people".

She said: "I'm most excited about the grandeur, darling.

"It's not gonna be a big wedding. But it's going to be grand.

"I think the most important thing is the relationship and, you know, just the connection. The love it of all. That's the most important thing, but of course I love a grand moment."

The 45-year-old singer - who has four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick - has kept details of James' proposal under wraps but admitted she was "surprised" when he popped the question.

She told 'Access Hollywood': "Darling, it's my engagement ring, we can't know when it's coming.

"We just have to receive it."

And Mariah adores her stunning 35-carat diamond and platinum ring.

She joked: "Walking through a crowd with a ring on your finger and a lot of bracelets is a little bit, you know, daunting.

"But it's hard to take it off cause I love it so much."
