Nina Dobrev proved that she does her own stunts when she shared photo evidence of the injuries she sustained on the set of 'xXx: The Return of Xander Cage'.

The 27-year-old actress is busy filming for the action movie where she plays the role of Rebecca, a witty and sarcastic techie, alongside Vin Diesel, 38, who stars as the film's namesake.

The former 'Vampire Diaries' star shared close-up photos of her injuries to her Twitter and Instagram followers, along with the caption: "Film an action movie they said. It'll be fine they said. Movies may not be real but this is.

"The things we do for our craft! But hey, the way I see it, it's a small price to pay to get to do what you love! Ive always wanted to be in an Action Movie... be careful what you wish for! #NoPainNoGain #ItAintEasyBeingABadass #XXXtheMovie @vindiesel." (sic)

Fans wished her a speedy recovery, with one tweeting: "Woah! I hope it heals quickly, Nina, and that you won't have any more wounds like that. Take care! #actorslife" (sic)

Directed by D. J. Caruso, the film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa and Deepika Padukone.

It is a sequel to the 2002's 'xXx' and 2005's 'xXx: State of the Union'.

The latest plot follows Xander Cage, whose left almost for dead, and Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons, played by Samuel L. Jackson, for another mission.

The film is slated for release on January 20, 2017.
