Kurt Russell takes hours to send one text.

The 65-year-old actor takes so long to send just one message because he spends a lot of time choosing just the right emoji for his messages in 'The Hateful Eight' cast's group chat.

Kate Hudson - who is Kurt's stepdaughter - revealed: "He loves to text, like really loves to text. He's a great emoji user. He loves [the app] bitmoji. It takes an hour.

"He's on a group text with everyone from the Hateful Eight, they still communicate a lot, and I'll be watching him for hours and then I'm like, 'God you guys are really in it,' and he's like, 'I'm just trying to figure out my text.' And I'm like, 'Wait you've been working on one text?'"

The 37-year-old actress - who has sons Ryder, 12 and four-year-old Bingham from previous relationships - also revealed her mother Goldie Hawn is a huge fan of Instagram and joked she is planning to ask Kevin Systrom, the co-founder and CEO of the photo sharing site, to take her mother's account down.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she added: "I think my mom's Instagram posts are totally crazy - in the best way ... Yeah, that's my mom. I don't know what's going on. Sometimes I feel like commenting to Kevin at Instagram, who owns Instagram, that he needs to take down her Instagram account. He needs to monitor my mother's Instagram account."

Meanwhile, despite Kate being a little wary of her mother's Instagram addiction, there is one thing she can always rely on from her - love advice.

She shared previously: "I think what they have, in terms of connection, is really rare and beautiful and something to strive for. But it doesn't come without its stuff, [as do] all relationships."

When asked what the best advice her mother has given to her, she added: "Be true to yourself. When you're connected intimately [with someone], it's a huge time of growth. [You have to] accept what that is and to go there, even when it's uncomfortable, [that's] the time you learn the most about yourself."
