Channing Tatum's love for his wife Jenna Dewan Tatum has deepened since their daughter was born.

The 'Magic Mike XXL' star penned a loving tribute to his spouse - with whom he has two-year-old daughter Everly - by sharing a black and white picture of the brunette beauty, 35, cuddling their little girl shortly after her birth, along with a heartfelt message about how "life changing" it has been watching Jenna blossom as a mother.

Alongside the picture posted on the 36-year-old actor's Instagram account on Mother's Day on Sunday, he wrote: "I took this just days after jenna and I (mostly jenna) brought our little girl into the world.

"I've taken many like it over the past 3 years but this is one of my favourites. She was so tired. Haha. But she has such deep strength and other worldy grace.

"Watching her in those first days transform into a mother was life changing.

"She was every bit the beautiful, sexy, funny, flawed creature I fell in love with.

"But the prism turned and showed a whole new light that I had no idea existed, the lights of a mothers love.

"Thank you for that baby. (sic)"

The hunky actor - who first met Jenna on the set of their movie 'Step Up' in 2006 and married in 2009 - also shared a quote by priest Theodore Hesburgh about how loving the mother of your child is the biggest part of being a doting father, whilst also referring to Jenna by the nickname "cake".

He continued: "Saw this quote today -- "The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother "Theodore Hesburgh

"There are a lot of important things in being a father.

"Who knows what the most important thing is? All I know is that in my case this is pretty high on my list.

    Love you cake! (sic)"

On her own Twitter page, Jenna responded to Channing's loving post by simply writing "Ahhh" with three heart emojis, while she also shared a black and white picture of the beautiful flowers she had been given for Mother's Day.

They came with a card which read: "To the best mother, wife, and dreamer I know. Evie and I love you to the moon and back! Happy Mother's Day! You're our everything. Love C & E xoxo (sic)"

The brunette beauty shared her own picture of herself and her daughter, with the tot dozing on her shoulder.

She wrote: "I miss these cuddle naps. Becoming a mother is the most amazing journey. I love you Evie! Happy Mother's Day to all! (sic)"

The 'Supergirl' actress also took the time to wish her own mom a happy Mother's Day.

Alongside a picture of them both, she wrote: "And a very happy Mother's Day to my mommy!! The one who taught me love! (sic)"
