Chloe Grace Moretz and Brooklyn Beckham have been "off and on for years".

The 19-year-old actress met the 17-year-old photographer at a SoulCycle class in 2014 and revealed they decided to finally go public with their romance recently because hiding it was adversely affecting their relationship.

Speaking on 'The Talk', she said: "Well, we've been off and on together for a couple of years now, and we just kind of made it official. We were always running from people taking pictures of us. And we were like, 'You know what? It's affecting our relationship.'

"We weren't able to go to the restaurants we wanted to go to or just go to a movie.

"And so we thought, 'You know what? If we're more upfront about it and we break down the iron curtain and we just let them take our photo, they're not going to care.'"

After first sparking speculation they had rekindled their romance last month, Brooklyn has recently shared a number of pictures of himself and Chloe on his Instagram account, and described her as his "bae".

And it was recently revealed the 'Kick-Ass' actress has been given the seal of approval from Brooklyn's parents David and Victoria Beckham, who also have children Romeo, 13, Cruz, 11, and Harper, four.

A source said: "Victoria adores her. She's even offered to help Chloe with her modelling ambitions and they've been having girlie bonding sessions with Harper.

"Victoria has been joking how it's good to finally be levelling things out with the female to male ratio in the family.

"The boys also love her and Victoria says she's become part of the family - spending weekends at their home and going for dinner at least three nights a week."

However, the family were initially unsure about the young romance as they feared she would be too much of a distraction, but soon had a change of heart when they spent more time with her.

Speaking previously the source explained: "Victoria and David like Chloe but were a bit hesitant about the relationship at first because they knew it would draw a lot of attention."
