Khloé Kardashian says only time can heal the pain of a break up.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star - who is in the process of divorcing her husband Lamar Odom - insists there isn't a "timeline for grieving or healing" and admits some partners can be harder to get over than others.

She said: "I don't believe that there is a timeline for grieving or healing or getting over someone or something. I think that we all heal in our own time, some are faster than others, and I think some loves are harder to get over than others."

And the 31-year-old television personality has offered advice to those going through a break up themselves.

Speaking in a livestream on her website, she added: "The busier you are, the less you're gonna think about something, so try to consume your thoughts with really productive things. Try to just find a hobby and keep yourself busy in a really positive way.

"Surround yourself by family and friends that you love and that really occupy your mind. I think that is super important. The more alone you are, the more you think about something. You're just going to overthink and our brains play tricks on us, which is never healthy. And eventually, every day it will get better and better."

Meanwhile, Khloé previously admitted she doesn't believe in divorce but feels she did everything she could to save her marriage to Lamar, who cheated on her and battled issues with drugs.

She said: "It was a challenge for me when I decided to get divorced. At my core, I don't believe in divorce, but I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness. I am at peace with that decision and do feel like I honoured my vows to the very end."
