Amy Schumer uses Bono to get dates.

Although the 35-year-old comedian is currently happily loved-up with boyfriend Ben Hanisch, she quipped that when she is single her best pick up line is telling people she knows the U2 frontman.

In a Twitter Q&A Amy was asked: "What's your best pick up line?" and simply responded: "I know Bono."

The self-deprecating star also responded to the question of "How long did it take you to break through in show business?" by quipping: "Any day now".

And when asked what she got her 'Trainwreck' co-star Colin Quinn for his birthday, Amy joked: "A restraining order."

Bono recently suggested that Amy and fellow comics Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen should be used to combat the extremist group ISIS.

Bono made the tongue-in-cheek recommendation while testifying in the US Senate on ways to address the root causes of terror in the Middle East.

Pointing out that violent regimes of the past have attempted to silence artists who poked fun at them, he said: "It's like, you speak violence, you speak their language. But you laugh at them when they are goose-stepping down the street and it takes away their power.

"So I am suggesting that the Senate send in Amy Schumer and Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen."

Meanwhile, Amy recently confessed her love for her boyfriend Ben and joked that finding love was her biggest recent "accomplishment".

She said: "We're really psyched, we're in love, and I'm really proud.

"Having a boyfriend is my biggest accomplishment this year. I did write and star in a movie - but that's why I'm here."

And Ben has even gotten the seal of approval from her best friend Jennifer Lawrence as the 'Hunger Games' star thinks Ben is very "hot".

She said: "Ben's great. Ben is, like, hot and when I first saw him I was like 'Ohhh' ...

"He's like super sweet, he does not have to be that nice cause he's hot."
