Selma Blair tweeted about her "super bad day" after her mid-flight outburst

The 43-year-old actress is still feeling embarrassed about going off on a rant and claiming somebody had been "burning" her private parts whilst sitting with her four-year-old son Arthur and his dad Jason Bleick in first class.

Selma was ushered off the Delta aircraft - which had traveled from from Mexico to Los Angeles - on a stretcher soon after it touched down and has since publicly apologised for the uncharacteristic outburst, which was caused by her mixing her prescribed medication with alcohol.

But she's also admitted online that it was one of the worst days of her life.

'Orange Is the New Black' star Lori Petty sent the 'People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story' some words of support today and penned: "@SelmaBlair all good, ma xx bad day - don't be ashamed - just feel better. I love ya. binge #OITNB(sic)"

To which Selma wrote back: "I love you. Super bad day."

Selma previously admitted she was "filled with shame" following the incident, in which she allegedly screamed, "He burns my private parts. He won't let me eat or drink ... He's going to kill me" in front of other passengers in the First Class section.

Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, the brunette beauty said in a statement: "I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his dad, I mixed alcohol with medication and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret. My son was with his dad asleep with his headphones on, so there is that saving grace. I take this very seriously, and I apologise to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath.

"I am a flawed human being who makes mistakes and am filled with shame over this incident. I am truly very sorry."
