Megan Fox is expecting a baby boy.

The 'Transformers' star has remained tight-lipped on the sex of her unborn child but it seems her father Franklin Fox is so excited for the new arrival that he's let the cat out of the bag.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Online, he said: "Megan is an amazing mom and I can't believe she is going to have three boys. Becoming a grandfather has been a wonderful experience and brought us all even closer together."

Megan already has sons Noah, three, and Bodhi, two, with her husband Brian Austin Green but the couple's third pregnancy came as somewhat as a shock as the pair had ended their five-year marriage and announced they were divorcing just a month before they found out they were expecting again.

Their on-again off-again marriage has been the hot topic of conversation since Megan was spotted with her burgeoning bump for the first time, but her father claims their relationship is back on track and they're looking forward to their new arrival.

He said: "All I can say is they are together and they are happy. I've met Brian a tonne of times now and he is a great guy ...

"... I am the grandfather of her two gorgeous boys and now she has another boy on the way. I couldn't be prouder of the woman my little girl has become."

However, Franklin, 65, hasn't always had a strong relationship with his daughter as he missed out on a large proportion of her life when he divorced her mother Gloria when she was three.

He explained: "For a long time I wasn't really a part of Megan's life and that was heartbreaking. There were the years when she told me she had been the victim of horrendous bullying and never felt good enough.

"And that tore me apart to know I was not there for her. Thankfully Megan reached out to me in recent years and today we are rebuilding our family and are incredibly close."

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old actress and her husband Brian, 42 - who got married in 2010 following three years of dating - are set to welcome their third child into the world in the autumn.
