Diane Kruger says becoming famous made her "arrogant".

The 'Troy' star thought she had it "all figured out" at one point because she modelled and spoke three languages.

She said: "I had become arrogant. I had been a model, I spoke three languages, I had a career. I felt I had it all figured out.

"And then I realised that I was living this very privileged life in my own bubble that I created and I [didn't] know anything about what [was] really going on in the world and I didn't ask enough questions."

However, the 39-year-old actress refused to be stuck in her little "bubble" forever and cut those friends out who were keeping her trapped in there.

She told the August issue of Town & Country magazine: "I made a lot of different choices. I cut people out of my life who I felt were enabling my bubble."

Meanwhile, Diane - who is in a long-term relationship with actor Joshua Jackson - previously admitted she used to think being beautiful "meant being skinny".

She shared: "When I was younger, being beautiful meant being skinny; I was a model, so you can imagine how hard it was to stay in shape.

"But when I turned 30, I realised how stupid I was for believing that. I think you're beautiful when you're smart and beauty is something you need to achieve."

And Diane also admitted she feels like she is in a "dream" sometimes as she can't believe how much success she has had.

She added: "I feel incredibly lucky because of all the opportunities that I've had along the way and because I'm still here in this business after all this time. It just feels like a dream to me sometimes.

"It certainly was not what I thought would happen to me when I was still living in a small village in the north of Germany. People who are born and raised there, usually never leave. Nobody from my family has ever left their hometown. I'm grateful for what I have got now."
