Karlie Kloss worries she "would look like a crazy woman" in heels.

The 6'1" star has revealed she refuses to wear heels because of her height, which she fears would make her standout on the streets of New York City.

The blonde beauty shared: "I feel like I can conquer the world in a pair of flats.

"I think I would look like a crazy woman walking around N.Y.C. in heels since I'm 6'1? and 6'4? in heels. Plus, I take the subway, so I'd stand out even more!"

The 23-year-old model is often seen in her sneakers and admits she wears flat shoes for "convenience and comfort".

Karlie told PeopleStyle: "I'm also always running around in sneakers. I probably have at least 50 pairs."

Karlie's height and good looks have helped to make her the envy of many, but the star admitted it has taken her time to discover her most flattering style.

She said: "Learning what works for me was a challenge as a kid, especially with my height. But now I use it to my advantage.

"Like I love wearing high-waisted trousers to make my legs look even longer."

And Karlie revealed she has also found a way of making her height work to her advantage on the red carpet.

She explained: "I love being super-tall because I can wear flats on the red carpet. And I get to wear amazing gowns at a runway show that nobody else could pull off because it's so long. There are definitely upsides to it."

On the flip side, Karlie - who has modelled for lingerie giant Victoria's Secret - acknowledged her long legs are not suited to wearing short skirts.

She shared: "I definitely do not look good in something that's too short. Everything gets shorter on me!"
