Ariana Grande has split from Ricky Alvarez.

The 'Dangerous Woman' hitmaker has reportedly ended her relationship with her backup dancer after around a year of dating, a source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight.

The 23-year-old singer also hinted at the split in a series of tweets over the weekend.

She wrote: "change. feelin free. happy. banginnnnnnn. but yeah bangs ... life is wild and change is f***ing fantastic ... why do y'all always gotta be right about everything. I love you. ty for loving me and caring and having my best interest at heart. I love u. (sic)"

The couple were first romantically linked when they were filmed kissing at a bakery in Lake Elsinore, California, where Ariana was also accused of licking donuts.

Meanwhile, Ariana previously admitted she can't get a date.

She said: "I think men approach me less now I'm famous, but then I hardly ever go out any more. I'm not pretending I have great break-up advice. It's hard. It's nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it's nice to be happy on your own as well."

And Ariana also went on to praise her "amazing friends and family" for keeping her grounded.

She added: "I'm so lucky to be surrounded by amazing friends and family. I love having them around me. They keep it real and help me stay grounded. Family is everything to me, especially my nonna.

"I try not to pay attention to what people say about my body because I think you could go crazy listening to everything. I try to focus on the positives - my fans help me feel good too."
