Farrah Abraham had to buy her own engagement ring.

The 'Teen Mom OG' star was told she had to purchase her own custom-made 14 carat diamond sparkler by her on-off boyfriend Simon Saran, although he hasn't yet popped the question to the reality TV star and has failed to reimburse his girlfriend for the item of jewellery.

Speaking on the American television series, which aired on Monday, the brunette beauty - who has seven-year-old daughter Sophia with her former boyfriend Derek Underwood - said: "I bought an engagement ring and it's at my house.

"He [Simon] said to get it and was excited about it ... I thought he was going to propose and nothing has ever happened.

"I have this ring ... and Simon still hasn't paid me back for it. I'm just really upset he did that."

"I did pick one out. Then [he] said, 'Oh. no. I didn't want to pay you back for that one. I didn't want to give that to you.' I had it custom made. I still have it ... it's gorgeous."

Farrah, 25, has admitted it is torment for her knowing she has the ring but has to hide it until her beau gets down on one knee to propose.

She explained: "I pretty much hid because I was like, 'I don't know what to do with this.' And then he never pays me back for it or proposes and it's like someone teasing me."

Despite having bought the engagement ring Farrah has revealed there are flaws beginning to appear in her relationship and she isn't happy with Simon because she isn't getting what she wants.

She said: "I'm not getting what I want and it's really annoying. So, we'll see."

And the two-hour episode saw the pair come to blows after Farrah interrupted Simon.

Simon said: "You're interrupting me when I was trying to talk to you."

To which Farrah replied: "If you're worried about interrupting, then maybe you're not the right person to talk to me then."
