Wilmer Valderrama and Minka Kelly are enjoying a vacation in Mexico.

The couple - who previously dated in 2012 - are believed to have rekindled their romance and are currently enjoying a holiday over Labor Day weekend, a source told E! News.

The pair, who are both 36, previously enjoyed a Mexican trip with close friends, but this time around they have gone alone to spend quality time together and were seen relaxing by a beautiful pool.

The break comes a few days after they were seen enjoying dinner at the Palms Thai restaurant in Hollywood last Thursday.

A source said: "[Minka and Wilmer] did have a late dinner at Palms Thai together last night. They sat across from each other and it was just the two of them.

"I didn't personally see if they were holding hands or if they were being affectionate, but it looked like a date. They looked casual and relaxed. Yes, Wilmer was a gentleman and picked up the tab to pay for their food."

It comes after the 'NCIS' star split from his longterm partner Demi Lovato - who had dated on-and-off for six years - in June.

'Confident' singer Demi, 24, recently admitted she feels "free" since calling time on her relationship with Wilmer.

She said: "I feel really amazing. I feel really great and I'm growing. My life is just really, really exciting for me because I'm growing. It's new and fresh, and I feel free.

"I think I have so many people around me that I trust and that I talk to about things and they are the ones that are quick to tell me, 'Hey, you may be having a bad day but look at what you've overcome'. So that's what's really cool is to be able to surround myself with people like that."

The couple announced in a joint statement that they had decided to call it quits.

The pair said: "After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years. With only love, Wilmer & Demi (sic)."
