Peter Facinelli and Lily Anne Harrison are confirmed to be dating.

The 42-year-old actor had sparked rumours of a relationship with the 'Fair Haven' actress after they were pictured together in recent weeks, but now it seems as though the pair are officially an item.

A source told ET Online: "It's definitely new and they're having fun."

The couple enjoyed a romantic getaway in Cabo San Lucas last week, after they were first spotted kissing last month outside Pinz Bowling Centre in Studio City. Whilst both Peter and Lily have posted pictures on social media of their trip to Mexico, neither of them shared any pictures of the two of them together.

The blossoming new relationship marks the first that the 'Twilight' actor has had since splitting from 32-year-old Jaimie Alexander in February, after more than three years of dating.

A statement from the pair at the time read: "Due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts, and after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicable and remain good friends."

The 'Thor: The Dark World' star has also moved on from the 'Supergirl' actor as it was revealed in July that she was "having fun" with 46-year-old actor Will Forte.

A source said: "They really like each other. They're just having fun. They are not serious yet."

Previously, Peter was married for 11 years to '90210' actress Jennie Garth, before he filed for divorce in 2012. The pair have three daughters together, Luca Bella, 19, Lola Ray, 13, and nine-year-old Fiona Eve. Speaking at the time of their divorce, the 'Nurse Jackie' actor said he would "always love her".

He said: "She'll always be in my life, I'll always love her. We're very dedicated to being great parents."
