Amy Winehouse's parents were joined by a crowd of fans as they paid tribute to the late singer on her 33rd birthday on Wednesday.

Five years after Amy's death, her life was celebrated in London's Camden Market with live performances and street art.

Speaking in front of a large crowd, her father Mitch Winehouse, accompanied by Amy's mother Janis Winehouse-Collins, said: "Happy Birthday Amy. Your mummy and daddy love you very much."

There were a number of activities throughout the day and proceeds went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up on September 14, 2011.

The foundation was established in Amy's name to continue the legacy of the star and her unique musical talent.

To mark the fifth anniversary of her death, local business Market Tech collaborated with the Amy Winehouse Foundation to bring a host of activities to Camden while the foundation held a pop up stall selling exclusive merchandise as Amy's songs played by local vendors serenaded market-goers.

Street artist Pegasus created his own tribute artwork in the entrance to Camden Market Hall, whilst Amy fans from all over the world flocked to pay their respects and support to the singer and her foundation.

A central area of focus for the Amy Winehouse Foundation is "to support the personal development of disadvantaged young people through music".

And the foundation opened a women-only recovery house this August in East London, named 'Amy's Place'.

It provides a lasting legacy of support for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, helping them to reintegrate into society with the best possible opportunity of sustaining their recovery.
