Katie Price says the “best thing” she’s ever done is stay with Kieran Hayler.

The 38-year-old star’s marriage was rocked when she caught him cheating on her with two of her best friends but she is glad they worked through their problems as she feels it has made her a stronger person.

She said: “Obviously everyone knows that two and a half years ago, I caught Kieran with my best friend of 20 years and in fact, it got worse. He was with two of my best friends of 20 years. So people might say, ‘Oh my god, why did you stay with this guy?’

“For one, it’s easy to walk away. Two, I’m a stronger person for staying with him and it’s the best thing I ever did. And three, he had a sex addiction, which I never used to believe. I used to think, ‘Oh yeah, that’s an excuse.’ It had to be proven to me that it’s actually a thing. But we worked through it and he’s had therapy and he’s a completely different man. So we always say, the old Kieran’s dead now and the new one’s been born.”

And Katie - who has Jett, three, and Bunny, two, with Kieran as well as Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, from past relationships - hopes she will inspire others after opening up about what happened in her marriage.

Speaking on BBC's Radio Two's 'Steve Wright in the Afternoon', she added: “When it happened, I remember googling, ‘Why do men cheat on you when you’re pregnant.’ You don’t realise how many people go through what I went through and it’s horrible so yeah, hopefully I can inspire people.”
