Eva Longoria “would always love” to reprise her role in ‘Desperate Housewives’.

The 41-year-old actress ended her run as ex-model Gabrielle Solis when the show wrapped in 2012, but she has revealed she would jump at the chance to take up the role again.

Speaking to ET Canada, the star said: “Of course! Who wouldn’t do it? Oh my god, I love Gabby Solis. I would always love to be in Gabby’s shoes again. I miss her so much.”

However, the brunette beauty isn’t convinced that a reboot will happen any time soon, as creator of the show Marc Cherry is in no rush to return to the hit drama.

She said: “I’m like, ‘Everybody keeps asking me if we’re gonna reboot ‘Desperate Housewives’.’ He (Marc Cherry) goes, ‘We just got off the air!'”

Despite her wish to return to the role, Eva admits the time away from ‘Desperate Housewives’ has given her the chance to pursue the other aspects of the industry she’s interested in, like producing and directing. She recently turned her talents to directing as she stepped behind the camera for an episode of ‘Jane The Virgin’, saying she was keen to put “intensity” into her work.

She said: “I feel the pressure every time I direct. I mean, this is a big episode, but I put as much intensity [into] everything I direct as much as this particular episode.”

And the ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ actress is keen to get as much work done behind the camera as she can, as she previously admitted that directing had always been “her goal”.

She said: My goal has always been to direct and produce. I want to see my stories reflected on the big and small screens. I want more control over my destiny in this industry.

"Economic mobility is one way to empower Latinas. Latinas are the CEOs of the household finances and health decisions. I want to give women the tools to make sure they become engines for good."
