Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West recently "let go" of their bodyguard

The loved-up couple have decided revamp their security team after their main man Pascal Duvier failed to protect the 36-year-old reality TV star while she was being robbed at gunpoint in Paris, France, on October 3 because he was out looking after her sister Kourtney Kardashian instead.

A source told 'Entertainment Tonight': "Pascal, along with a couple other security members of their team, were recently let go by Kim and Kanye."

Pascal has worked with Kim since 2013 and Kanye since 2012 but, although they're sad about the overhaul, they feel they have no choice.

The insider explained: "It's a pretty tough situation overall and they love Pascal, but they couldn't take any more chances."

The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star was left fearing for her life four weeks ago when she was tied up by five armed masked men in her private apartment and had $8.5 million worth of lavish jewellery stolen from her.

The brunette beauty - who has daughter North, three, and 10-month-old son Saint with Kanye - has kept a low profile since the horrific ordeal but is determined to gently ease back into work over the next coming weeks.

However, family friend Lance Bass doesn't think Kim and her relatives will ever get over the incident but are keen to stick together throughout it all.

He said: "I spoke to Kris [Jenner, Kim's mother] right when it happened. Of course, the family was devastated over it.

"I mean, it's something that I don't think people are going to get over for a very long time. That's got to be a traumatic experience.

"But, you know, they're all together and are obviously a very supportive family. You couldn't ask for a better family to go through something like this together."
