Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom visited the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) dressed as Mr and Mrs. Claus

The 32-year-old singer and the 39-year-old actor donned festive attire on Tuesday (20.12.16) when they dropped by the medical centre in California for a "much-deserved visit", which saw them greet patients and their relatives, sing Christmas carols and distributed gifts to the kids.

The hospital has shared a string of images of the pair with the children during their stop-off to their Instagram account.

Alongside one photo of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star dressed as Santa, alongside the 'Roar' hitmaker and a young girl, it read: "Never naughty, always nice. The kids at CHLA received a much-deserved visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus ... who happen to look a lot like @katyperry and @orlandobloom!

    #LiveLAGiveLA #katyperry#orlandobloom (sic)."

And CHLA has claimed the loved-up couple shared an "instant friendship" with one tiny tot named Baby Zion who sported a Batman costume and was pictured reaching out to Katy and Orlando.

The picture was captioned: "Instant friendship between Baby Zion and @orlandobloom during his #MusicTherapy Jam Session with the kids at CHLA.

    #LiveLAGiveLA #katyperry#orlandobloom (sic)."

The hospital has claimed whilst the duo sang to them the children were "nestled" in their beds and enjoyed sweet dreams of the raven haired musician as a "sugarplum".

The final image shared by the organisation was of the love birds cradling one child, which read: "The children were nestled

All safe in their beds (@orlandobloom's arms)

While visions of sugarplums (@KatyPerry) danced in their heads.

    #LiveLAGiveLA #katyperry#orlandobloom (sic)."

CHLA have also broadcasted the news of Katy and Orlando's visit on their Facebook page.

Meanwhile, a parent whose son has been staying in the hospital, but is due to return home in time for Christmas also shared a picture of the stars with her child, and has admitted Katy and Orlando's visit was "so beautiful".

Alongside a picture uploaded on her photo-sharing page, mother Kaitlin Bell wrote: "Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom came an sang us Christmas carols. It was so beautiful. (sic)."
