MNEK lost his glasses at the 2017 BRIT Awards after party

The 22-year-old singer has revealed he has misplaced his spectacles because he was “swinging” his braided ponytail around too much at a celebratory event following the music extravaganza on Wednesday (22.02.17) evening.

The ‘The Rhythm’ hitmaker shared the news of his missing item on social media with a picture of him on the red carpet sporting a white shirt with a grey coat and black trousers prior to the post BRITs celebration.

He captioned the Instagram upload: “Pon the [red] carpet @ #brits2017 ! thank you @asos_menswear for my attire. I lost the glasses at the afterparty while swinging my ponytail. (sic).”

And the musician appears to have enjoyed the afterparty with rapper Stormzy, who performed during the star studded bash last night, as he has shared a video of the 23-year-old grime artist and his friend praising him on the photo-sharing site.

The clip was captioned: “this clip from last nite gives me too much joke. @stormzyofficial (sic).”

Speaking in the clip, the ‘Shut Up’ hitmaker said: “Legend black boy songwriter.”

Whilst the other male in the footage clearly spells out MNEK – whose full name is Uzoechi Emenike – name.

He said: “MNEK. MNEK. Mother, November, echo, kilo.”

And MNEK can be heard laughing whilst filming the video.

And the artist has revealed he is a big supporter of Stormzy previously on social media.

He tweeted: “big up @Stormzy1 (sic)” alongside a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, the star, who collaborated with Zara Larsson on ‘Never Forget You’, has hinted he is fed up of being asked to pass on messages from fans to the blonde beauty.

He tweeted: “the amount of times i've been asked by a random to tell @zaralarsson they said "hi" is shameful.(sic).”
