Jennifer Lopez thinks her split from Marc Anthony has been "good for the whole family"

The 'Shades of Blue' star ended her marriage with the 48-year-old singer back in 2014 and feels it has allowed the former couple to spend more time with their nine-year-old twins Max and Emme.

Speaking on Live! With Kelly, she said: "At first I was like, 'We’re good with the kids and everything, but if we start working together, are we gonna start going at each other again?' And it’s been awesome. Honestly, I think it’s even helped our relationship.

"We’re just in a really great place, and the kids get to spend time with the two of us more together and see us working together. It’s just good for the whole family."

Meanwhile, Jennifer previously admitted her divorce from Marc was the "biggest disappointment" of her life.

She said: "It was devastating and awful. I think both Marc and I thought at the time we would be together for the next 40 years until we die.

"It was the biggest disappointment of my life so far. [But] I felt like at that time I had lost my way a little bit, of who I was in trying to make the marriage work.

"I had been married twice before and I didn't want this to be a failure ... I just put all my heart and soul into that and forgot who I was as an individual a little bit."

However, Jennifer has no plans to get married again.

She added: "I need to be happy on my own. If someone fits into that, great. But if they don’t, that’s OK too. As girls, I think we are taught from a very young age that someone is going to bring us our happiness.

"I was waiting for Prince Charming. Everybody I met was going to be the guy I was going to spend my life with. And then you realise, 'I'm strong, I'm my own keeper, my own saviour.' That’s been the journey for me."
