Alec Baldwin is teaching his sons to let their mother and sisters "believe they are right"

The 'Boss Baby' actor - who has children Carmen, three, Rafael, 21 months, and six-month-old Leonardo with wife Hilaria, and Ireland, 21, with ex-wife Kim Basinger - claimed his spouse is in charge of their household, but then admitted that's because he "lets" her think that's the way it is.

Asked who is the boss at home, he said: "My wife is the boss and Carmen is the boss.

"[I taught my sons] to realise that we must always let the women in our lives believe they are right even when they are not."

Hilaria quipped: "It's because we're always right."

But her husband then winked at the camera and added in an interview with 'Extra': "My wife is always right."

Alec, 58, recently revealed he has been learning Spanish since he met Hilaria - who was born on Majorca - but he's finding mastering the language a slow process.

He said: "My Spanish can only get better. It can only improve... maybe by the time I'm 90, I will nail it.

"I love Madrid. I think it's one of my favourite cities in the world."

But the '30 Rock' actor will have to brush up on his skills earlier than expected, as his wife revealed they taught Carmen to speak Spanish as her first language.

Hilaria, 32, said: "Carmen's first language is Spanish. I only speak Spanish with her...and with Alec she is smart enough to know that she needs to switch to English.

"Alec's Spanish is getting better and better. His accent is very good."
