Puff Daddy has told Jay-Z to "get ready" for "a lot of love"

The 47-year-old rapper - who has six children, Quincy, 26, Justin, 23, Christian, 19, twins D'Lila Star and Jessie James, 10, and Chance, also 10, from various relationships - think people spend too much time focusing on the negatives of having children, but he believes there's nothing better than being a parent.

Asked if he has any advice for his pal - whose wife Beyonce recently gave birth to twins, siblings for their five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy - he said: "Get ready for two times the love. That's it.

"You know, a lot of people speak about the problems that's gonna come with kids or having that level of pressure, but your kids love you.

"Nobody loves you like your kids. So just get ready for a lot of love."

After so many years in the music industry, the 'I'll Be Missing You' hitmaker - whose real name is Sean Combs - was recently named 2017's highest paid celebrity and he believes the key to his longevity has been planning ahead.

He explained: "I didn't really wait for the bubble to burst. I didn't wait for me to get cold. I just planned ahead. I just planned ahead, and saw the opportunity in different areas of business and went for it."

And Puff has no desire to stop working any time soon as he thinks things will only get better.

He added to Billboard.com: "This is the dream that I dreamt. The dream is only gonna get even more beautiful.

"I don't even know if we'll be talking about these things that I did as much, or all of the things that's gonna come with the next chapter... I look forward to the next chapter.

"I think the movie 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop' was the end of chapter seven. We have like 100 chapters in this motherf***er. So hold on and enjoy the ride!"
