Zendaya feels like a "grandma" because she'd rather be sat at home watching television rather than go out for a wild night

The 21-year-old actress has always felt mature beyond her years although she does on occasions still embrace her youth

Speaking in FASHION Magazine's Winter 2018 issue, she said: "I think I've always been a grandma. I've always been a very old woman inside a younger person's body. Of course, I have my young-people tendencies; we all have those. But at the end of the day, I've always been called a grandma. I don't like going out. I enjoy the company of my TV and myself."

Zendaya didn't even go wild when she turned 21 in September instead choosing to celebrate the landmark date at home with her family and friends and she didn't even bother to have her first legal alcoholic drink.

She explained: "[My] 21st birthday [was] at my house, with my family and friends. There [was] no alcohol - I mean, people can have alcohol if they want it, but [I wasn't] going to be drinking any ... For me, a Vegas version of my birthday would be like hell."

The 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' star has made a big effort to stay grounded despite her ever-increasing fame and she never does anything to please anyone else.

She explained: "Anytime I've ever done something to please somebody else or make other people happy, or do what I think other people want me to do, it always blows up in my face. And it's bulls***!"

Zendaya also added how her career - which includes singing, having released her debut self-titled album in 2013 - feels like a "divine" reward for choosing to live her life as a "good person".

She said: "I like to think that in some divine way, I don't know how, the universe decided I was a good person to do this because I'm a good person. And I guess the universe knew - if we're accepting that that's a thing - that I would try to do something good with what I've got and I'd be able to handle the pressure."

The winter issue of FASHION hits Canadian newsstands on November 20th and is in select Barnes and Nobles in the US on December 5.
