Kit Harington was reportedly thrown out of a bar on Friday

The 'Game of Thrones' actor was asked to leave Barfly in New York City after becoming drunk and uncontrollable, with TMZ claiming he had banged on the pool table, grabbed at cues and got in people's faces

An onlooker told the website the 31-year-old actor - who is engaged to his former co-star Rose Leslie - had initially compiled with a request to leave the bar, but then returned and had to be dragged out.

In video footage obtained by TMZ, Kit appeared dazed and slurred his words as he got into a row with people at a pool table. A man and woman pulled him away slowly, and at one point, another female chided him for not saying "excuse me" as he brushed past her.

A spokesperson for the actor has not commented on the evening, while the venue have declined to speak out.

Meanwhile, the 'Gunpowder' star admitted in November he can be "too socially confident".

He previously said: "I'm very sure of myself now. I'm socially confident - I never used to be. ...

"The negative of that is that I can be too socially confident. I can think I am the only thing in the room. I need to pare that back. That is the tendency as an actor, especially when you have some success - you end up maybe going a little too 'me, me, me.' "

But before giving that interview, Kit had previously admitted to struggling with life in the spotlight.

He said: "I think it was - I take it season by season-- [the show] really took off in season 2 or 3, and it was so exciting, this show really getting this massive amount of global attention towards it. I struggled with that around season 5.

"I suddenly found it quite hard, its not stopping. The initial excitement of it wore off. I deal with a lot better now. I think I deal with it better because I can see the end."
