Timothee Chalamet felt star-struck when he met Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes

The 22-year-old actor - who was nominated for the Best Actor - Motion Picture Drama for his performance in the Luca Guadagnino-directed drama 'Call Me by Your Name' - mingled with some of Hollywood's most famous faces at the annual ceremony in Beverly Hills and has admitted to being a little overawed by the two actresses in particular, both of whom were married to hunk Brad Pitt

During an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Timothee - who took his sister to the bash - shared: "She had a great time. We got to talk to Angelina Jolie and talked to Jennifer Aniston right after, and I was like, 'Oh my god! Which side are we on?' "

Jimmy couldn't help but tease Timothee about his reaction to meeting the Hollywood A-listers.

But the New York-born star was happy to admit that he's still adjusting to being surrounded by celebrities.

He said: "Hey, man. I'm not [always] hobnobbing with famous people. I'm like, 'What the f**k is going on?!'"

During the same interview, Timothee also discussed a recent embarrassment at the New York Film Festival, when he fell out of his chair on stage.

The actor - who previously starred in 2014's 'Interstellar' - recalled: "I'm sitting in the chair for the Q&A and then a gravitational force comes out of nowhere and knocks me out of the chair and I fall back.

"There was a girl in the audience that night I was super psyched was there and then that happened."

Timothee is widely regarded as one of the best young actors in Hollywood, but he's previously admitted that his original ambition was to become a soccer star.

Asked about his first job, he explained: "I was a bad soccer coach at 13-years-old in a tiny town in the north of France. The kids were ten, so they were like my age. And I was a small guy growing up anyway. I love soccer.

"That was the first dream until I realised I'm not nearly big enough or strong enough or fast enough or talented enough to be a soccer player."
