Liam Gallagher says him and Noel Gallagher only called a truce "in his head"

The brothers have been at war ever since Noel quit Oasis back in 2009 but they were thought to have ended the feud at Christmas, only for Liam to now insist that they haven't actually made up

He said: "In my head [we called a truce]. Because it’s Christmas innit and me mam’s always going, 'Look, calm down,' so I had a couple of drinks and thought, you know, I’ll put it out there. But it’s not happening, is it? ... No, no - I went there [to the Chiltern Firehouse] and he wasn’t there. He wasn’t meant to be there, but that’s where him and all his posh mates go, so I thought I’d steam down there and see what they gotta say. I just went down there looking for a bit of trouble and that but there was none of ’em about. They were all probably at home, counting their money ... We’ve not made up."

Liam was handed the Godlike Genius award during the VO5 NME Awards at Brixton's O2 Academy on Wednesday (14.02.18), six years after his brother received the honour.

Speaking to NME magazine about the award, he shared: "You can’t give it to one without the f***ing other, man! I was like, ‘You cheeky f***ing *****, man.' But all is forgiven. Two Godlike Geniuses in my family - and then people wonder why we don’t f***ing speak ... Save the best 'til last, mate."
