The Tall Blacks are harvesting hope that this time they may finally get their man

Kiwi big man Steven Adams has slipped into his NBA off-season following the Oklahoma City Thunder's first round playoff exit.

Adams is yet to represent New Zealand since being drafted by the Thunder in 2013, but could be a chance for the FIBA World Cup qualifying window in June and July.

Tall Blacks coach Paul Henare says while the timing works, the decision rests with Adams.

Henare says he will have a full compliment of overseas players available for the home matches against Hong Kong and China.
