The Hurricanes have snuck to a 38-34 Super Rugby win over the Reds in Wellington

The Hurricanes have snuck to a 38-34 Super Rugby win over the Reds in Wellington

Ben Lam has crossed for a double as the 'Canes piled on five tries.

The Wellington Phoenix skipper is staying put.

Andrew Durante has re-signed with the A-League club on a one year deal, while also taking up a management role off the field to assist the team in commercial, marketing and community initiatives.

Durante is currently the all-time A-League appearance record holder.

Fullback Liberato Cacace has been promoted from the club's youth programme to sign a two year contract.

New Zealand will send 11 riders to next month's BMX world championships in Azerbaijan.

Olympic silver medalist Sarah Walker's the big name in the women's team which also includes Zoe Fleming and Rebecca Petch.

Rio Olympian Trent Jones, 2016 junior world champion Maynard Peel and current national champion Cody Harris are the elite men's trio.

Jessie Smith and Baylee Luttrell make up the junior women's team with Cailen Calkin, Ryan Jordan and Luey Cotton the junior men.

Sophie Devine's eager to see cricket in action in the country where it's a religion.

The White Ferns allrounder will be part of next week's inaugural women's Indian Premier League match in Mumbai, alongside captain Suzie Bates and fast bowler Lea Tahuhu.

Devine says it's a marvellous opportunity for everyone involved.
